Patrice Collazo was born in La-Seyne-sur-Mer on April 27, 1974.
Patrice is a former French Team prop (one selection in 2000). He wore the colors of Toulon, Bordeaux-Bègles, Stade Français, Toulouse, Gloucester and Racing 92. He won the European Cup in 2003 and 2005, with Toulouse where he evolved from 2002 to 2005.
His coaching career began with the U22nd Team ofRacing 92 in 2009. He joined the Club in 2011, after being French Champion with the Racing 92 U22nd Team in 2011. He first formed a duo of coaches with Fabrice Ribeyrolles.
Their mission was to rebuild a competitive and ambitious team for the reconquest of the Top 14. They achieve it in the 2013-2014 season, winning the accession final against Agen.
In 2015 and 2016, Stade Rochelais end up the season at the 9th place of the standings.
In 2017, after an awesome season, Stade Rochelais was the first team of the Top 14 at the end of the season ! The team lost in semi-final against Toulon in May 2017.
In 2017/2018, Stade Rochelais took part, for the first time, in the European Champions Cup. For their first participation, the Rochelais reached the quarter-final. They lost against Llanelli in the Parc y Scarlets.
At the end of the season, Patrice Collazo chose to leave the Club. He became the new Toulon Manager one month later.
