The Academy "Grand-Ouest" is dedicated to players between 15 and 18 years old who want to reach the highest level.
The Academy regroups three entities :
- "Pôle Espoirs" in Tours : This high-level training facility brings together the best young people from the west of France. Trainees remain there all week and go back to their clubs to play weekend championship matches.
- "Pôle d'Entraînement Régional" in Niort (PER) : A partnership between this centre and the Paul Guerin Secondary School in Niort offers the best young players of the Poitou-Charentes region a place reach their highest levels through advanced training and regular school tuition.
- "Centre d'Entraînement Stade Rochelais" (CESR) : Annual partnership agreements between schools such as the Saint Exupéry Secondary School (located 200m from the stadium) and the La Rochelle Centre enable young players from the greater west of France to benefit from high-level facilities (sports coaching, physical preparation, medical and psychological follow-ups) and individualized training programmes (personalized supervision, accommodation and tutoring).
The selecting of Poitou-Charentes players is done in close collaboration with the "Pôle d'Entraînement Régional" in Niort. At the end of their initial training (1 to 3 years) young players can be offered a residential place in our Elite Youth Training Program.
